Electronic laboratoryAlthough we are surrounded by sophisticated computerised gadgets these days, there is still a fascination in putting together a few resistors, capacitors, and semiconductors to make a simple electronic circuit. It is really surprising how a handful of components can perform a useful function and the satisfaction of having built it yourself is incalculable.

We believe that electromagnetism is one of the greatest gifts of nature to humanity. Many famous scientists were inspired during their childhood from simple experiments on electric circuits.  Einstein once said that a compass - a gift from his uncle - sparked his wonder on science.  Einstein realized that there must be something causing the needle to move, despite the apparent "empty space". Nikola Tesla said that “If you want to find the secrets of the universe, think in terms of energy, frequency and vibration”, and “If your hate could be turned into electricity, it would light up the whole world.”

Would the world be the same today if those great scientists had a microcontroller? How happy would be Heinrich Hertz, James Clerk Maxwell, and Nikola Tesla if they had some electronic components, and the electronic schematic of a simple transmitter? How happy are you when accessing CircuitLib?

We are targeting to free knowledge. CircuitLib aims to provide a wide variety of electronic projects, from something that will take a few minutes to build it, to a more ambitious weekend’s or holiday’s worth. Various circuits and construction techniques are described, the simplest requiring a bread-board, and the most complex involving printed circuit boards and microcontrollers programming. The electronic projects were all chosen to be useful and straightforward, with the emphasis on practicality. 

Some people say that offering knowledge for free is dangerous. Many will try to steal ideas for gaining wealth. Well, we hope that someday they will have something of their own! We are constantly working to produce innovation and present new knowledge, ideas, and vision. We hope that our projects will lead to hours of enjoyment, some very useful and entertaining gadgets, and increased knowledge of how electronics circuits work, and a great sense of satisfaction.
